Happy Patients

“Then he sent them out to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick” adhering to this word of God, the Adoration Congregation Sisters following the Lord Almighty’s holy footsteps of healing the soul and body, embarked on the path of healing and service to share the love of the Divine Mercy of Jesus and o provide life, alliance and peace to the sick and the suffering.

— Luke 9:12,
Our Guiding Scripture | Josgiri Hospital

The love and kindness and the altruistic lifestyle of the founding father of the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Congregation (Adoration Congregation), Bishop Mar Thomas Kurialassery , towards the sick and moribund people; along with the sensitive care and service of god Mother Mary Francesca De Chantal , the co-founder, towards the people ostracised due to chronic illnesses are the sacred sources of strength and vision in the field of healthcare.

The First Shepherd of the Thalassery Archdiocese, Bishop Mar Sebastian Vallopally dreamt and envisioned the establishment of a hospital that renders finer healthcare services for the poor and laymen of Thalassery. As a realisation of his vision, a hospital with 20 beds started functioning on May 1st in 1975 at Chettamkunnu.

The love and care of our most venerated missionary leaders, Mar Sebastian Valloppally, Mar George Valiyamattam, Mar George Njaralakkatt and Mar Joseph Pamplani has been a source of great strength to this institution. By the same token, the supervision, counsel and interest of the Rev. Mother Provincial and the Provincial team has served as a guiding light in leading the hospital to glory. The incessant prayers and support of the current Provincial Superior Mother Anila Mannoor and the aid and backing of the provincial team has been steering the organization to greater heights.

Beyond everything, the relentless industriousness and tireless perseverance of 30 sisters, the staff nurses and the paramedical staffs around the clock; accompanied by their passionate and harmoniously co-ordinated teamwork paved the way for Josgiri Hospital in achieving the first NABH Entry Level Certificate (National Accreditation Board Pre-Entry Level Certificate) in Thalassery and the KAYAKALP Assessment Certificate Clean Hospital Award on January 19th in 2019 .

Today, Josgiri Hospital has transformed itself to be a long-standing evidence of the most revered Bishop Kurialassery’s and Bishop Valloppally’s vision of ensuring holistic and complete healthcare protection to all, seeing Lord Jesus in the sick and the suffering, regardless of any socio-economic or religious differences. Imbibing the essence of the dream and farsightedness of our missionary pioneers, the Josgiri hospital, which is a part of the SABS Thalassery Province has been taking long leaps in the healthcare arena for the past 50 years , ensuring “To have life; Life in abundance” (John 10/10) .
